Thanks for another thoughtful and well-written piece.

Readers should also note and appreciate your meticulous documentation.

Yes, the documentation is great.

Well done Heather. I'm speechless about the orange one's rudeness towards Prime Minister Takaichi. Talk about open mouth, insert foot. But then he never thinks before he speaks, does he? I'm really looking forward to the 28th March to see all right minded people demonstrate against Trump's toxicity.

Hi Heather,

I cannot imagine how hard it must have been to compose this essay. The pain comes through in every syllable. The outrage and, yes, the fear. These are desperate times it’s true. But, and it’s a big but, the regime is fighting for its life…the house of cards is collapsing. By exerting pain on the US people, the world’s people, is the only option left to Tdump and his lackies.

My advice to anyone who is under siege, oppressed, feeling helpless and depressed is simple. DON’T GET SAD, GET MAD! (I don’t use caps unless it’s absolutely necessary, like a car horn!). Anyway, righteous anger beats depression every time. No Kings march is an absolute must! But share these conversations with your neighbours and friends, contact local governors.

To all the women out there, you have enormous power and influence. Your right to vote is under attack. This president mocks women constantly, he is a misogynist, a rapist of women and children. If that doesn’t make you mad, nothing will. The Prime Minister of japan, Sanand Takaichi, is a woman running rings round the idiot in chief, the Prime Minister of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaun, another example of strong, intelligent leadership. Take strength in yourselves, in your communities and your numbers. Get mad, not sad.

Cut his mike! Cut the cameras. Ignore this imbecile as much as possible. Looks like most media remain just papagali and only stupidly repeat what their corrupt demented master eructs. Shameful

Boycott Leavitt press briefings. She does not tell the truth. Why bother?

I don't believe Trump "lies" in the sense of intentionally deceiving, holding both truth and falsehoods in his head; I see him rather as a raving lunatic, helplessly sharing and projecting to others what he thinks, how he sees the world, at any given moment. Consistency from moment to moment, or fidelity to objective truth, are not goals, values, or considerations with him—he couldn't care less, they don't occur to him as goals or values, and.he sees no distinction or distance between what he fantasizes and any objective truth because his sense of personal identity depends on what he dreams.

Trump defines "truth" as what's agreeable to *him*, yes.

I'll hold onto hope, but I have to admit to being more and more disgusted and nervous. When will our true leaders act to end this attempted takeover of our country?

Thank you. Painful about Pearl Harbor, removing Marines. They don't belong in the Middle East.

Senators like Whitehouse, Bernie need to take control.

Thank you for the picture. I live near Seattle, and it is just starting to be early Spring. I don't see a place to attach photos, or I would paste snow pictures. We don't usually have snow, and it is only an inch or two, and melts the next day.

Appreciate your hard work.

Difficult times, but good to know what is REALLY going on.

Take Care 💕

LOVE your articles, and am a paid subscriber! But, Ms. Reese, can you run another piece, solely about this "local TV" media merger? It's horrifying, and will directly affect all of us! I for one never knew that "local" stations were OWNED by conglomerates that are owned by gazillionaires.

I’m not sure it’s so much that he doesn’t think before he speaks (although he doesn’t) as much as he thinks he can say or do NOTHING wrong. He is the Word, in his addled pea-brain.

Heather, While I agree with you that the White House cabal is hiding Trumps physical issues from the public, and also agree that 'at times' he sounds like a complete imbecile, he still says some exceedingly astute things. It must be evolving from intermittant imbecility vs. better-than-average intelligence, to intermittant intelligence vs. total imbecility. Sounds like accelerating dementia to me, don't you think?

What is the point of any dignitary even having a formal meeting with this administration? They HAVE to know nothing can be relied on except his embarrassing stupidity and blatant lies. Why in the world would anyone put themselves and the country they represent in such an awkward and useless position?

Great article. Thanks. On a side note, Kegsbreath is not wearing the official uniform, he is wearing brown shoes! Does this mean trump has forgotten his personal black shoes test?? 🤯 is my experience everyday, multiple times a day, whenever I see or hear Anything that mango maniac is doing!😢

Heather, thank you for another outstanding report. One correction: to my knowledge, there were no men trapped on the Arizona after she was struck on December 7, 1941. My first thought when anyone mentions Pearl Harbor is seeing the explosion of the Arizona when a single bomb exploded in her magazines, and lifted a 34,000 ton battleship out of the water, killing in that instant over a thousand men, and breaking the ship in two. I think the consensus is that no one could have survived below decks. The USS Oklahoma was hit by seven torpedoes and rolled over, and many men were trapped in her as she rolled over. A few were rescued. That may have been the source of your recollection of men pounding to let would-be rescuers know they were still alive. I am hoping that is the first and last time that anyone, let alone an American president, tells a joke about Pearl Harbor. Can anyone educate the President on the meaning and use of gravitas?

First, thank you for being one of the brave voices we so desperately need. Reading your piece this morning, I am horrified, exhausted, and grasping at hope, yet more excited to get on with finishing my poster for the March 28 No Kings demonstration. We have an opportunity to come together and show each other our hope, and our love for each other’s rights, freedom, and humanity. Heather, I would love it if you could lend your voice and get hundreds of thousands more on the streets for No Kings. Thank you.

Actually, Japan did declare war and notified the US that they were coming, but it was early Sunday morning and no one was in the office to get the message.
